Great Scott! Spike’s Scream Awards went all out this year, pumping 1.21 gigawatts (what the hell is a gigawatt??) into a commercial for the 2010 presentation. Back to the Future debuted in theaters during the summer of 1985, with teaser trailers promoting the film along the way. As we run through the 25th anniversary of the film, and with Spike’s TV award show upcoming, they decided to duplicate, with shot-by-shot precision, the original trailer for the film, all the way down to the Michael J. Fox. The most famous award show dedicated to the horror, sci-fi, and fantasy genres, the Scream Awards is taking special notice of BTTF, promising a reunion of the original cast, from Marty to Biff to Doc Brown. And, to think, we’re only 5 years away from where they saw their future selves in Back to the Future II. Maybe that means hoverboards are just around the corner…?

The point-by-point comparison
Brief fan-specific view of a reunion. Sans Biff. Damn slacker.
