The ABC Network has recently picked up Marvel’s much awaited TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, with a full series order intended for US broadcast. The show, which is overseen by Avengers director Joss Whedon, has already released a teaser during the season finale of Once Upon a Time yesterday, so some of you ABC watchers have already gotten a glimpse of it.
The Powers that Be have not yet released any information regarding episode count or air date, but we can feel safe knowing that the Whedon-directed pilot managed to impress network execs (besides, with the success of the Marvel films that Whedon has had a hand in, it would be pretty damn stupid for execs to turn down the guy’s projects. Networks are all about numbers, and Whedon brings the numbers en masse).
The first official group shot for the team was also released, featuring Agent Coulson, played by Clark Gregg, which is a bit of a mystery as the agent was last seen being killed in The Avengers.
