WWDC 2011: Mac OS X Lion goes iPhone with multi touch

One of the big new features that Apple is introducing via OS X Lion is touch and multi-touch. Hey, they had some nice success with the concept over the years via iPhone and iPad, why not bring it to their original, core audience of MAC users? Same idea behind the App Store – OS X Lion will bring these key iPhone aspects to live for MAC users, opening a whole new world of items they can cross promote. Now, this doesn’t mean everyone has to have a touch screen monitor, which is a big relief to everyone with a giant 22″ beauty that doesn’t want it coated in finger prints. Even without on-screen functionality, Apple states they’ll be rolling out multi-touch trackpads, building them into notebooks moving forward. And what better way to make use of that then by maximizing the App Store window with your fingers…?
