In a recent issue of SFX magazine, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder has been interviewed about the upcoming Superman movie, and one of the parts of the interview has the director talking about the film’s different approach to Superman’s flight powers, namely, that it’s a more realistic, less polished, and more violent style than the ones we have previously seen from other Superman films:
“It’s a more violent experience. It’s raw,” Snyder teases. “It takes effort to do it, and that’s what we were really going for. It’s almost like there’s this kind of Right Stuff quality to it.
“He’s constantly booming around, accelerating. You think he’s going as fast as he can and then it’s like ‘Yeeaahh!’ He’s always got an extra gear he can use.”
If you want to see exactly what Snyder is talking about and the trailers are not enough, you only need to wait a few more weeks as Man of Steel will be out on theaters in June this year.
