There’s a bunch of rumors floating around these days pointing to an eventual return of the iconic horror-comedy film Beetlejuice, and now one of the lead stars (of the movie and every heterosexual male’s dreams back in the 90s) Winona Ryder has dropped a very strong hint that she may be returning as well.
“I’m kind of sworn to secrecy, but it sounds like it might be happening,” confirmed the star in a recent interview with The Daily Beast, before going on to explain how the sequel would play out.
“It’s not a remake, it’s 27 years later,” explains Ryder. “And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later.”
Ryder has also stated that her return would have been unthinkable if not for the involvement of Tim Burton and Michael Keaton:
“I would never go near it if it was not Tim and Michael,” says Ryder. “Because those guys, I love.” Happily for her, it sounds as though all the pieces are coming together…
