Warner Bros has been very secretive about the status of their future Justice League movie, with many fans speculating that it’s because they still don’t have anything concrete, waiting on the success of Man of Steel before pushing forward with an actual team-up movie. However, a new tie-up with Target may point towards the studio’s plans for the franchise.
According to Variety, Target has recently inked an agreement with Warner Bros. over a new range of Justice League toys, with the toyline being made up of a number of characters designed in vintage, retro stylings.
Technically, this is just rumor at this point as it’s not that unusual for Warner to release a new Justice League line of toys, particularly since they’ve also got the Injustice: Gods Among Us videogame, which contains key members of the League but is set in an alternate reality and thus, have no direct connection to the official versions of the Justice League.
However, if the new toyline will have something to do with the planned movie, it is interesting to note that the characters that are already included (and will probably have parts in the movie) consist of Aquaman, Batman, Cyborg, Green Lantern, The Flash, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
