The first four minutes of the upcoming zom-rom-com, Warm Bodies, has been released. The footage consists of film lead Nicholas Hoult giving us a walkthrough of life as a zombie.
Warm Bodies was originally lambasted as a poor attempt to cash in on the Twilight craze, due to the initial pitches not mentioning the fact that it’s more of a comedy than a tween romance.
The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world where majority of the population is already zombiefied, with the film not expounding on what caused the apocalypse (Hoult believes it “could have been a radioactive Outbreak monkey.”)
The hero of Warm Bodies is a zombie named R, who doesn’t remember much of his old life. Content living the simple life of a zombie, R’s world is turned upside down when he meets the girlfriend of one of his victims and realizes that some of his old human feelings are returning.
Co-starring Rob Corddry, Teresa Palmer, Analeigh Tipton and John Malkovich, Warm Bodies opens in the UK on 8 February 2013.
