It seems like Mark Wahlberg will not be alone in the lead throne of Michael Bay’s fourth explosive (literally and figuratively) installment to his Transformers movie franchise. Twitchfilm.com has just reported that Brenton Thwaites and Nicola Peltz have just been cast for the film after an extensive auditioning process.
Peltz past work include a role in The Last Airbender, and will also be seen regularly on TV with the Psycho prequel Bates Motel. In Transformers 4, Peltz will be playing the role of Wahlberg’s daughter, with Thwaites set to play her biker boyfriend.
Thwaites’ past credits include Home and Away, and will also be included in Angelina Jolie’s upcoming fairy tale riff Maleficent. There’s no word on whether Bay is planning to cast high profile stars in bit roles, like what he did with Frances McDormand and John Malkovich in Dark of the Moon.
Transformers 4 is expected to hit UK cinemas on 27 June 2014.
