A new trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been released, and this one features more of the obligatory explosions, wise-cracks, and Magic Channing. The movie was originally scheduled for release last summer, but was moved further to 2013.
Fans originally suspected that the delay was because they didn’t want to compete with all the heavyweights due at that time (which included the Dark Knight Rises), but the studio has since clarified that the release was pushed back because they had to do some extensive reshoots and implement post production 3D.
One of the key motivations for the reshoots was said to be the increased emphasis on Channing Tatum’s role, and this seems to be in line with the trailer, as it contains a few more snippets of the actor:
