The remake of cult favorite movie The Crow, which was started by Relativity Media, has been in development limbo for quite some time, but it seems to be showing some signs of life again as The Wrap reports that Tom Hiddleston is currently in talks to fill the role of the film’s protagonist, Eric Draven.
Hiddleston is the latest in the long line of leading men that have been attached to the project, such as Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum, and Mark Wahlberg (who is currently signed on to play the lead in Michael Bay’s Transformers 4). A few months ago, it was reported that James McAvoy was the frontrunner for the role, but it seems nothing became of the negotiations as Hiddleston is now being described as on top of the list.
According to The Wrap’s source, Hiddleston has already met with the producers and went through a make up test in order to see if the actor can get the look of the character just right. A second round of meetings is scheduled to take place soon.
