It’s not looking good for Guy Ritchie’s big screen adaptation of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as lead star Tom Cruise has reportedly just dropped out of the forthcoming production.
Cruise was originally cast in one of the lead roles alongside Armie Hammer, with the men playing a pair of secret agents. However, Deadline.com has recently reported that Cruise has already withdrawn from the project in order to focus on other endeavors.
Rumors suggest that Cruise dropping out is because he wants to focus more on Mission Impossible 5, which he is said to be producing and leading at the same time. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. on the other hand, needs to get a replacement soon in order to meet the scheduled 2013 start date.
