The upcoming big screen adaptation of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. from Guy Ritchie may get some serious star power soon courtesy of Tom Cruise, as Deadline.com reports that the actor is currently in talks to play the read role in the film, which aims to translate the hit ’60s TV show onto the big screen.
If you’re too young to remember the show, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. follows the adventures of Napoleon Solo and Ilya Kurakin, a pair of secret agents forking for the United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.), which was started in order to combat the evil organization T.H.R.U.S.H. The duo is notable for having access to a wide variety of hi-tech gadgets and gizmos, much like a certain agent from MI-6.
