Technically, a solo Hulk movie has been done before, if you don’t have any problems considering the Edward Norton movie as having occurred in the same universe occupied by the current crop of Marvel films (shouldn’t be much of a stretch, at least when compared to the Ang Lee Hulk film.) but those who really want Mark Ruffalo’s version of the Jolly Green Giant to have its own film will be excited to know that there’s a rumor going around, pointing to it as a possibility.
The most recent crop of Hulk solo movie rumor comes from the fact that original Hulk star Lou Ferrigno has been going around claiming that Marvel has penciled in another standalone movie after Age of Ultron.
“Now, because he saved the day, they’re making another solo Hulk movie after the second Avengers comes out,” said Ferrigno in an interview with a Minnesotan radio station.
Now, the reason why this is only a rumor at this point even though Ferrigno’s statement leaves no room for misinterpretation, is the fact that the actor has been known to make similar claims in the past, only for current Marvel bigwig Kevin Feige to come out insisting that nothing has been set in stone yet.
