It was recently announced by Sony that they had tapped screenwriter Oren Uziel for a potential fourth installment in the Men in Black movie franchise. Unfortunately, the fourth movie might not have Agent J in it, as Will Smith has just revealed that he plans to leave the third film as his last outing in the franchise.
“I think three is enough for me,” said the star. “Three of anything is enough for me. We’ll look at it and we’ll consider it, but it feels like that it might be time to let someone else do that.”
The way he worded it doesn’t really give one a definite “no,” and it seems like he can come back, but it will take some convincing. However, one does wonder if Sony will push through with the plans if one of the lead stars is gone?
How about a prequel? They can create a movie that features Josh Brolin as a young Agent K, and cast another actor to play a new partner.
