Ryan Reynolds Bows Out of Highlander Reboot 0

Summit’s forthcoming reboot of the Highlander movie franchise may have suffered a major blow, as it’s announced that leading man Ryan Reynolds has bowed out of the project.

According to a report by The Wrap, Reynolds has dropped out of the role as Connor McLeod, which was played by Christopher Lambert in the original films and in the TV series. The loss of Reynolds means production is pretty much back to square one, as the former director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has also dropped out after a year of working on the project, citing creative differences with the studio as a reason.
