Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past is shaping up to be one big reunion party between the cast of the original X-Men trilogy, but one former cast member who will not be appearing – if the actor is to be believed – is Ray Park, who played Toad in the first movie:
“I went and saw Patrick [Stewart] because I love him and respect him a lot,” said Park. “He was saying he just got back [from shooting X-Men: Days of Future Past]… I said, ‘Ah damn, you already filmed it so there’s no way I’m going to be in it!’”
As for Park’s other iconic roles, he has also expressed a keen interest in returning to the Star Wars franchise (where he played the role of Sith Apprentice Darth Maul), and even joked that he’d do it for free:
“Just give me food and water, and I’m there.” replied Park when asked if he’s willing to return as the double-bladed lightsaber-wielding Sith.
