Bryan Singer has been busy these past few months, serving as a one man teaser-pumping machine for his forthcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past. He’s also been doing his best to try and convince many of the original trilogy’s starts to come back and reprise their roles, and one of those who heeded his call was the original Professor Xavier of the movies, Patrick Stewart.
“I think it is going to certainly be the X-Men of all X-Men pictures,” said Stewart. “One doesn’t want to tempt fate, but perhaps also the blockbuster of 2014…”
“It’s been 6 or 7 years since X-Men 3, where you will recall that Charles Xavier was vaporised by whats-her-name, Jean Grey. And you’re asking yourselves, ‘If you were vaporised, how can you be in the next X-Men movie?’”
“There will be an explanation, but it was a little puzzling for me because I thought my X-Men days were over. So, it’s something to look forward to.”
