Michael Bay has already rebooted the Friday the 13th back in 2009, but the film flopped and a sequel didn’t come. Bay isn’t deterred, however, as he’s now gone back to the drawing board in order to do another re-boot of the slasher movie franchise.
According to TheWrap.com, Bay’s Platinum Dunes is eyeing David Bruckner for the director’s seat, after his impressive work on the first V/H/S film. The report also suggests that Bruckner may try a found-footage take on Friday the 13th. Paramount will be distributing the film, with a March 13, 2015 target release date.
