The two characters that really managed to steal scenes in Avengers were Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, along with their respective alter egos Iron Man and Hulk. While we’re not likely to see the two characters share a live action movie outside of the Avengers sequel, the folks over at Marvel are willing to give them an animated movie outing, via a post-Avengers film titled “Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United”.
The story is said to focus on a monster named Zzzax, who was formed out of pure energy and can absorb human minds, who managed to cause a massive black out within the entire Eastern Seaboard, resulting in Iron Man and Hulk rushing to the scene, only to mistake each other as the cause. Much like a lot of the Marvel comic book team ups, the movie will start with the two heroes duking it out only to come to an understanding so that they can team up on the real villain.
“It’s our hope that we will start doing more feature-length direct to Blu-ray and DVD stories,” he says. “They’ll more than likely be in team-up situations. We find it works really well when we have big exciting adventures with two or more of our heroes,” says Marvel’s VP of TV division Jeph Loeb.
