Marvel has recently announced an untitled film project that is going to be slotted in their schedule alongside two other projects slated for a 2016 and 2017 release. The announcement is in line with the studio’s commitment to a two film-per year output, with the supposed untitled film being set for a July 8, 2016 US release.
Since no further information about the project has been released, fans are quick to jump in with speculation. What we know so far is that Marvel is interested in adapting Doctor Strange to the big screen, and there’s also talk of a Black Panther intro.
However, one can’t dismiss the possibility that Marvel is just laying the groundwork for third outings for Thor or Captain America, or maybe even their own version of the franchises with rights that have recently reverted back to them (such as Daredevil, the Punisher, and Ghost Rider).
