A lot of people are expecting Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman movie reboot, Man of Steel, to be a more somber approach to the last son of Krypton’s story. Thanks in part to the various trailers being relatively low on action, instead teasing with brief glimpses of the characters set against a moody background music. However, the movie’s MPAA rating hints at a more action-oriented movie.
Man of Steel was rated by the MPAA as PG-13, due to “intense sequences of sci-fi violence, action and destruction, and some language.” This means the movie can be viewed by kids, but may be a little bit edgier than your standard family movie.
The good thing that will come out of this, if the movie is really action-heavy, is that we can all go to the theaters with very little spoilers, as the trailers have left an abundance of good stuff unseen.
Man Of Steel is slated to open in the UK on 14 June 2013.
