Universal has finally given the official go-ahead to the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, and has announced that the film will be arriving in cinemas in the summer of 2014. No names have been given regarding who’s going to wear the director’s shoes, but since Spielberg’s Robopocalypse has been pushed back recently, rumors are floating around that he’s going to return to the franchise that he popularized.
Not that Spielberg won’t be involved either way, as he’s already confirmed to be producing. The new script for the film was already delivered by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa a few days ago.
Jurassic Park 4 will be released in 3D, with a production window of 18 months before it’s scheduled to arrive in cinemas. The folks at Universal are going to be busy in the coming months.
