There are rumors going around that Warner is already taking some steps to secure an actor who will play Batman in the upcoming Batman/Superman film. Heat Vision reports that the studio already has an idea of what they want from the new caped crusader, and have already built a shortlist.
According to Heat Vision, Warner is looking for an actor in their late 30s or early 40s, who is both “established and rugged.” One of the actors they are allegedly eyeing is Ryan Gosling, along with other choices Josh Brolin, Richard Armitage, Max Martini, and Matthew Goode.
It’s also said that the new film will not bother with an origin story, with Batman appearing as a fully formed character and ready to throw down with Superman. It’s also rumored that David S. Goyer has already started working on the script.
