A Crow remake has been rumored for some years now, and the identity of the actor who will bring Eric Draven to life (or unlife) has always been the subject of speculation. The latest name to be attached to the role is Professor Xavier himself, James McAvoy.
According to Bloody Disgusting, the Scottish actor is interested in joining the production, which is helmed by director F. Javier Gutierrez. However, their source didn’t specify whether talks have already taken place.
The previous plans for The Crow reboot had Mark Wahlberg attached to the lead role, with Stephen Norrington named as the director. The plans floundered and the project became silent. The next set of names was Bradley Cooper and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo as lead actor and director, respectively. But nothing came out of the rumors, and the project went back to limbo.
