The Farelly Brothers’ modern take on The Three Stooges has just released a new trailer, and as further proof that The Farelly’s are out of touch with the audience, the trailer is patterned after the Jackass trailers (because Jackass is very popular right now, duh).
The trailer shows off a ton of slapstick humor, which unfortunately falls flat because all the context was taken away, making it the equivalent of a series of jokes in which the only things you hear are the punchlines. We have to admit the bit with the lobster was awkwardly funny.
Other than that, The Three Stooges – which stars Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes and Will Sasso after Jim Carrey. Benicio Del Toro, and Sean Penn have turned down the roles (for good reason, apparently) – seems like something you may want to avoid, especially since its premiere on April 13 puts it in competition with other films that are much better use for your time and money.
