With regard to Bryan Singer’s upcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class, Days of Future Past, several of the actors from the original X-Men trilogy are already locked in to appear, such as Patrick Stewart (Professor Xavier), Ian McKellen (Magneto), and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine). However, Jackman recently teased readers of the Daily Mail that we can expect more familiar faces:
“You wouldn’t have enough room on the page after you’ve listed them all,” revealed Jackman. “Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it. There’s an element of time travel and, naturally, it will be action-packed.”
As Jackman mentioned, there’s a time travel element involved so we can expect some parts of the movie to be set where X-Men: First Class left off, while some will be set in a dystopian future in which mutants are hunted down and imprisoned in concentration camps.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will be opening in the UK on July 18, 2014.
