Hugh Jackman has already had a tongue-in-cheek cameo n X-Men: First Class, where he was approached by a Fassbender and McAvoy only to bark out a rejection, which the two founding mutants easily accepted. According to Jackman, he will have a bit more to do in the forthcoming sequel:
“I did a three-hour, three-word cameo in the last one. It literally took me three hours,” he said. “I have been talking to Bryan Singer about doing something in this. There will be more claws in this.”
The new film is based on the same-titled comic book story arc, which consists of the young Xavier and his charges trying to avert a timeline in which mutants are consigned to internment camps while being policed by the robotic Sentinels.
Directed by Singer and co-starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 18 July 2014.
