Ewan McGregor recently did an interview for TotalFilm.com’s iOS-based magazine, and in it, here revealed that he’s willing to return as Obi Wan Kenobi if he’s asked by the studio currently responsible for the franchise (that would be Walt Disney, which recently acquired LucasFilm to the tune of $4 billion).
“I’d be up for it. If they need me to be Obi Wan Kenobi, I’d be happy to do it,” McGregor says.
“Who knows what the story would be? How could I be Obi Wan Kenobi? Oh, I’m in the force? With Liam [Neeson]? We’re in there together? I’m up for it anyway. I will don the cloak again.”
With Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu) and Liam Neeson (Qui Gonn Jinn) also showing interest (in Jackson’s case – even excitement) in picking up the lightsaber again, there’s a chance that Episode VII will have enough dead Jedis running around to turn into a horror movie.
