Deadline.com has just reported that the long-awaited (and much delayed) movie treatment of Entourage has just been given the greenlight by mother Warner Bros. The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin, who was also responsible for penning the movie’s script.
The Entourage movie is said to take place six months before the events of the series finale, which saw Adrien Grenier’s Vince about to get married and Jeremy Piven’s Ari Gold being offered a position as a studio head.
Ellin didn’t reveal too much of the plot, only mentioning that the gang is still “hanging out and going to fun parties.” The original cast members are currently in talks with Warner over reprising their roles, but it’s also expected that the movie will have a bunch of A-list cameos. Production is slated to begin later this year.
