Doug Liman to Direct Splinter Cell Film 0

Splinter-Cell-Blacklist

It seems like Ubisoft’s film adaptation of Splinter Cell is starting to move forward, as Heat Vision reports that Doug Liman is already in final negotiations to join the project as director. It is worth noting that the project has spent considerable time in development hell, with Peter Berg previously attached as director before bowing out due to frustrations with delays.

The script is currently being worked on by Eric Singer, and it was previously reported that it will focus on the exploits of series protagonist Sam Fisher. Tom Hardy has already signed on to play Fisher, and the studio is currently aiming for a 2015 release date.
