Chronicle star, and next-in line for the mantle of the Green Goblin Dane DeHaan has recently decided to break his silence on the Amazing Spider-Man 2, with the actor gushing about the film’s prospects as a significantly better follow-up to the first movie.
“It’s awesome, it really is,” gushes DeHaan. “It’s human and it’s deep and it’s also epic and still a huge superhero movie. But it all makes sense and it all comes from very human elements and I think people are really going to love it.”
It is not yet clear whether Amazing Spider-Man 2 will have DeHaan’s character already making his turn towards the dark side of things, as people associated with the movie have kept mum on specific plot details, but it’s not very likely at this point, considering that the movie already has two antagonists via Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Paul Giamatti’s Rhino. The Green Goblin can still appear as the third villain, but let’s hope the studio still remembers the last time they tried cramming as much villain into a single movie.
Directed by Marc Webb and co-starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Chris Cooper, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will open in the UK on 18 April 2014
