Colin Trevorrow Talks About Jurassic Park 4 0

It’s understandable if people are thinking that Jurassic Park 4 is in trouble, since it was delayed a year from its initial 2014 release date. However, director Colin Trevorrow has taken time out of his busy schedule in order to allay fears and provide an update on the sequel.

“Surprisingly it’s not that different,” says Trevorrow in when asked to compare working on the film to making his indie breakout, Safety Not Guaranteed. “We have a very small team who we’re working with right now.”

“It’s incredible to have Steven [Spielberg], who’s done this for decades and has such an incredible filmic knowledge and this understanding of the language of story – in a way that for us, is very refreshing. It’s not like getting notes from a studio executive.”

Trevorrow also pointed out that they are very sensitive to the fanbase that built itself around the original films, and that they aim to at least try and make something that can be compared to the first film in the franchise:
