Now that Christopher Nolan has rightfully earned a reputation as the Go-To Director for large-scale event cinema, coupled with Sam Mendez dropping out of the Bond franchise, it was only a matter of time before the powers that be put 2 and 2 together and link the former Dark Knight auteur to Bond 24.
According to the Daily Mail, Nolan is already in early talks with Bond bigwigs Barbara Broccoli and Michael G .Wilson regarding the Bond director’s chair left vacant by Sam Mendes. Generally, people have a reason to take this rumor with a grain of salt, as Nolan is currently busy with his upcoming sci-fi film Interstellar, so it’s not very likely that he’s going to jump into another high profile property so soon.
However, the Daily Mail has had a good track record when it comes to scoops related to Skyfall’s lifecycle, so there is at least reason to believe that Wilson and Broccoli approached Nolan.
