Bryan Singer recently tweeted an image that hints at a major plot point in the upcoming First Class sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. The image reveals a transcript of a speech to be made by President Nixon (an image of which was already released by Bryan Singer a couple of weeks ago):
“Today we face the greatest threat in our history,”reads the speech. “What the world witnessed in Paris was not an isolated incident.”
It’s not clear whether the speech is talking about a terrorist attack committed by Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants or something else entirely, but it’s a premise that has been tackled in various incarnations of X-Men in the comic book and the cartoons in the past. Speculations aside, we’ll get to know the real deal when the movie is released on July 18, 2014.
