Now that SkyFall’s UK box office rampage is starting to die down, people are starting to turn their attention towards 007’s next big screen outing, with MGM announcing plans to release a new adventure sometime in the next three years.
“We are currently developing the screenplay and working with our partners,” revealed MGM CEO Gary Barber. “We look forward to developing the script soon and signing a director. We are hoping within the next three years it will be released.”
Barber also stated that the studio will “look forward to announcing a director soon,” as Sam Mendes will not be returning behind the camera. However, Mendes still managed to hatch an idea for a story with writer John Logan before leaving the project.
