The script for Bill & Ted 3 is complete, according to a recent report by The Independent. Keanu Reeves, who played Ted in the first two movies, confirms that they are just waiting for a greenlight. Reeves also states that the script is “more than up to scratch.”
Co-star Alex Winter, who played Bill in the first two movies, corroborated Reeves’ statement. The star used his twitter feed to give a quick update:
“Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!” says Winter’s tweet. There are no further details about the story and the cast, but Reeves has already provided small hints in the past.
“When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened,” Reeves told MTV last April. “So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.”
All that is needed now is for a studio to give the script a seal of approval and the film is set to go. Let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of Reeves’ other project, the Akira live action remake.
