Arnold Schwarzenegger is still on a path to reinvent his acting career, but the most recent news is extremely unexpected, as the big man is currently in talks to star in Steve Pink’s modern refresh of The Toxic Avenger.
Steve Pink, whose past credits include the sleeper comedy hit Hot Tub Time Machine, will be bringing the Toxic Avenger back to the big screen. The original was released in the 80s, and featured a nerdy janitor who was granted superhuman powers after being dumped in toxic waste by a bunch of bullies.
It is said that Arnie will not be playing the titular superhero (after all, would anyone really buy the Governator as a nerdy janitor?). Instead, he will be playing a mentor to the protagonist, serving as the one who will teach the newly empowered nerd how to use his abilities for good.
