A lot of people may have already forgotten about it, but Marvel originally revealed plans for an Ant-Man film. It just so happens that all the attention Iron Man 3 and the rest of the phase 2 films are getting resulted in poor Hank Pym’s big screen vehicle being largely ignored.
Marvel has recently gone out of its way to remind fans that the Ant-Man film is still good to go, with the release schedule still penciled in as late 2015. However, Kevin Feige has revealed that the script for the movie is currently undergoing rewrites in order to make it fit in with the rest of the Marvel movie universe.
“Frankly, now we have to rewrite it to put it a little bit more into the [Marvel cinematic universe],” explains Feige, “because it was written before it existed.
“[Edgar Wright] has done a great job being incredibly true to the comics but is putting his own spin on it, so we’ll be drawing on multiple mythologies for this one.”
