It seems that Avengers: Age of Ultron is good to go, as far as casting is concerned. After the casting of James Spader and Elizabeth Olsen as Ultron and the Scarlet Witch, respectively, the participation of Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been confirmed.
Taylor-Johnson has long been attached to the project, but the actual confirmation was not given until now, as a busy schedule has prevented the actor from committing to the project. However, his slate seems to have cleared now as The Wrap reports that Taylor-Johnson has officially signed on for Whedon’s second outing on the Avengers franchise.
As for the role he’s playing, Taylor-Johnson will indeed be playing the mutant speedster Quicksilver, but he won’t be the first one as Evan Peters will also be playing the character in Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is due out in 2014.
