Pokemon Champ’s Title Stripped Due to Poo Flinging Activities 0

A Nintendo Life report has confirmed that the recent Pokemon Video Game Championship in Birmingham UK went smoothly, except for an incident after the games that resulted in the Spanish Team getting kicked out of a hotel and slapped with fines.

According to one of the people who were present at the event:

“After 30-40min in my room relaxing with a quick snooze I awoke to the sound of banging comming [sic] from down the hall from where the ‘Spanish Team’ were staying in. It seems that at some point after they had turned up and when we went to Wether Spoons the Spniards [sic] had decided to have a ‘Poo’ fight in the corridor and this had upset the staff and several guests (naturally) at the hotel enough to call the Police and have them leave.”

One of the members of the Spanish Team, two time Pokemon champ Ruben Puig Lecegui, was stripped of his title at the United Kingdom Videogame Championship.

“The Pokémon Company International expects its players to maintain high standards of behaviour conducive to the family-friendly environment that we foster,” the manager of Play! Pokémon says.
