Nintendo’s Wii U preview event is currently underway in NYC, but they have already revealed the pricing and release date information for the Wii U on North American shores. Regarding the release date, the Wii U will be launched on November 18, 2012 in two different bundles:
The first bundle is called the Basic Set (8GB), which will retail for $299.99 and will come packed with the Wii U console, a GamePad, an HDMI cable, a sensor bar, and an AC adapter.
The second bundle is called the Deluxe Set (32GB), which will retail for $349.99. The Deluxe set will include all the things from the Basic Set, along with a GamePad charging cradle and a stand for the GamePad and Wii U Console.
Keep in mind that the pricing and release date is for the North American market. The US is actually luckier this time around, as they’ll get their hands on the Wii U sooner than our friends in the land of the rising sun, as the Wii U will launch in Japan a little later on December 8, 2012.
