Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata Open to Acquisitions and Mergers 0

Nintendo’s current financial problems has been reported all over the Internet these past few weeks, so it’s pretty much common knowledge nowadays, but while people continue to bust out rumors and speculations about what the company is going to do (including the new console hoax that made the rounds a few days ago), Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata is looking to salvage their current operations instead of risking everything on a new console.

One of the first things that Iwata has done, besides adjust its sales projections lower, is take a huge paycut. Additionally, a recent interview with Japan’s Nikkei business newspaper reveals that the CEO is very open to acquiring new companies or even merging with another company in order to revitalize their fortunes in emerging new markets.
