In their recent Nintendo Direct presentation, the videogame giant unveiled a stunning new HD remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the Wii U. The action RPG was already a visual feast back when it was first released on the Gamecube – there are a lot of gamers who criticized it for what they considered a “kiddie” art style, but it can’t be denied that it’s one of the smoothest, most creative, and most colorful affairs on the consoles at the time. With the HD remake, it’s going to look even better, especially when it takes full advantage of your HD TV.
As for specific changes, Nintendo reveals that the game will take full advantage of the Wii U’s unique control scheme, but will also provide the option to play exclusively on the GamePad. The graphics will also get more polish via enhanced lighting and additional vibrance added to the already vibrant cel-shaded visuals. Miiverse integration will also be included.
