Not every piece of news that came out during this year’s E3 is good news. In fact, one of them concerns Ubisoft senior VP of sales and marketing Tony Key telling us that we have to wait a little longer before we can get Rayman Origins on our Nintendo 3DSes. I don’t know about, but I don’t see that as good news.
According to Key, Rayman Origins won’t make it to its June release date, which is a bummer because it was already delayed, with the original schedule being a March 20 2012 release. After the most recent delay, we can expect Rayman Origins to hit the handheld a full year after the console version hits the stores.
Rayman 3DS is coming out in November,” Key said. “It will probably be coinciding with the Wii U version. It’s absolutely going to ship. They already made the game.”
As for the reason behind the delay, Key states that it simply wasn’t the right window, and that they wanted to better align it with the communication around the next Rayman.
