Nintendo continues to shower us with bits and pieces of new information about their upcoming first party offerings for the Wii U. This time around, it’s a new screenie for Super Smash Bros, featuring a brand-spanking new stage based on one of the least-popular entries in the Metroid franchise, Metroid: Other M.
The stage is called the Pyrosphere, or what many fans affectionately refer to as Sector 3. The stage is lava-themed (a common theme among Metroid stages in Super Smash Bros.) The stage was first revealed via game director Masahiro Sakura’s Wii U account. It looks properly next gen, and the predominantly brown and red color scheme shouldn’t be too ugly considering that the characters that are going to run around in it tend to be colorful.
