In line with the recent announcements regarding the Nintendo Wii U’s pricing and release date, Nintendo has just released a new trailer for the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. U, which features a look at some key changes and new challenges introduced in the sequel.
New Super Mario Bros. U, which is a Wii U launch title, will allow for as many as five players at the same time, using four Wii remotes for players while the fifth one manipulates the environment with the GamePad. Additionally, the Challenge Mode and Boost Rush mode are also highlighted in the trailer below:
Challenge Mode works by requiring players to complete certain trials, while Boost Rush Mode is an on-rails platforming mode that requires cooperation as teams of players are required to do speed runs, with the twist being that collecting more coins makes you faster. New Super Mario Bros. U will be available when Wii U hits stores on November 18.
