Resident Evil: Revelations was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS, and proved to be one of the more well-received modern iterations of the survival horror franchise (which some fans will argue are now action-horror, due to the more action-oriented focus). The handheld game fared better than its current gen big brothers, Resident Evil 6 and Operation Racoon City, which is why it’s not surprising that it’s going to be the one to make a leap to the next gen.
The console port of Resident Evil: Revelations will be making its way to the xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, and PC on May 21 in North America followed by a May 24 release in Europe. Revelations will also be available as a download via PC and PS3 at launch, with the download-only versions of the Wii U and 360 ports to follow.
The refresh will come with bonuses such as HD graphics, the ability to play as Hunk in Raid Mode, new enemies, more challenging difficulties, as well as new custom parts and weapons for Raid Mode.
