The Nintendo 3DS’ initial launch was disappointing for a lot of fans due to the lack of quality titles (much less system exclusive ones), but recently, the little 3D handheld that could has picked up some steam as developers have started developing or porting recognizable brand names to the system. The most recent and probably most anticipated one is Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D was first shown at the Nintendo World 2011 early this year and allowed fans a first glimpse at how MGS3 can be ported to take advantage of the 3DS’ 3D capabilities, as well as how good it plays on the handheld’s different control scheme.
Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, will be released on the Japanese market on March 8, 2012. Those of you who live on the western side of the globe need to wait a little bit longer, but the estimated US release date has been confirmed by Konami to be “early 2012”, so it won’t be that far behind the Japanese launch.
