Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros and Valve’s Portal may occupy opposite ends of the videogame spectrum(one is 2d, the other is 3d, one from the east, the other from the west), but they’ve got a couple of things in common: both games are genre-defining titles that have stood the test of time, and both offer addictive platforming mechanics that require a bit of strategy to pull off. But what if you were to mix what made the two games great, by giving Mario a portal gun?
You get Mario Portal:
Mario Portal is a complete recreation of Super Mario Bros. (made completely from scratch and a lot of love), with the aim to perfectly simulate the classic 1985 NES title, with one simple twist: Mario has a portal gun, which lets him do cool stunts similar to the ones done by Chelle in Valve’s portal.
The game also has 4 player coop, with all the players having their own portal gun, which makes for one crazy, frantic platforming fun.
