A couple of days ago, news broke out that former Capcom producer and Mega Man mastermind Keiji Inafune and his team at comcept have launched a Kickstarter campaign for something called “Mighty No. 9,” which is said to be a spiritual successor of sorts to Mega Man. Their initial goal was to raise $900,000 but with 29 days still left, the campaign has already managed to exceed their expectations via 18,000 backers who pledged a total of $1.4M and it continues to climb.
The dev team behind Mighty No. 9, which includes former Mega Man devs as well as the composer for the first game, Manami Matsumae, have stated that they are planning to release the game on PC in 2015. So as far away as that may seem, it just seems nice that the PC is finally getting some love from devs.
